Calling all motivated young professionals!

HYP is looking for fresh faces to join the Executive Board for 2020. Do you want to apply your skills, develop valuable leadership experience, organize engaging events, or facilitate relationships with local businesses and nonprofits? Here is your chance to help guide the vision for a growing nonprofit and to get involved in the Helena community. All board officers are responsible for attending a monthly board meeting, attending the annual retreat, coordinating one networking lunch per year, and completing their special office duties described below. Treasurer

Do you enjoy holding the purse strings? The Treasurer position may be right for you. The Treasurer’s duties include, but are not limited to, overseeing the financial assets of HYP, ensuring income and assets are protected and adequately accounted for, that the corporation’s financial obligations are paid in a timely fashion, the executive board receives regular reporting regarding the financial health of the corporation, and that all necessary filings are made in a timely fashion to preserve the corporation’s non-profit status and tax- exempt status. Required filings include, but may not be limited to, annual reports to the Secretary of State and annual tax returns to the Internal Revenue Service.

Experience or education in nonprofit accounting is highly preferable!

Marketing Director

Calling all creatives! We are currently looking for a Marketing Chair to help manage and develop the HYP brand and coordinate promotional materials for HYP events. This position works closely with the Public Relations Chair and Social Media Chair as part of the communications team.

Experience in graphic design is highly preferable!

Public Relations Chair

Are you a good writer who enjoys developing communication materials? Consider becoming HYP’s Public Relations Chair! This officer manages strategic communications between the executive board, its members, and the public. This includes developing our monthly newsletter, maintaining our website, and sending out reminder e-mails for HYP events. Furthermore, the Public Relations Chair oversees and maintains an effective communications strategy to engage members and the public in the organization, and to help build membership. The Public Relations chair works closely with the Marketing Chair and Social Media Chair as part of the communications team.

Professional Development Event Chair

Help HYP host events to help young professionals with their personal and professional development! The Professional Development Chair is responsible for organizing three to four professional development events a year. This includes the planning, set up, and other arrangements for these events.

Public Service Event Chair

Connect young professionals in Helena to community service opportunities by serving as our Public Service Event Chair. This officer is in charge of developing and maintaining relationships with Helena’s nonprofit community and organizing at least three volunteer activities for members in a year. This includes the planning, set up, and other arrangements for these events.
