What do you do for work and what is your slash (aka what do you do in your free time)?
I am the Director of the South Central Mt Area Health Education Center (AHEC) at the Montana Hospital Association and have been in the position for over three years. In my free time, I travel - both on mini-road trips or to new and far away places. I also enjoy reading, outdoor exploring, researching anything, events, and more recently, Dragon Boating (Go Buzz)
How did you land in Helena?
I have lived in a few places and met my fiance in Seattle. He grew up in Helena and still has family in the area. We were looking for more work-life balance and magically the opportunity appeared to move to Helena. Been over three years and still loving it!
What is the best piece of advice that you ever received – career-related or otherwise?
Always follow your passion and the rest will come.
When do you feel the most yourself?
At home with a book, a cup of coffee, and a cat (or two).
Where is the last place you explored and where do you want to explore next?
We were just in Whitefish/Glacier this weekend taking in the fall beauty. My next big adventure is to Mexico (Oaxaca) next summer.
Tell us something about yourself that we didn’t ask:
In my prior career I managed large scale events for both CenturyLink Field (Go Seahawks and Sounders) and for Walt Disney World at ESPN's Wide World of Sports.
